Love Produces Life

01/26/2017 3:20 pm / Leave a Comment / twebster

Love is the process of producing life.  God is love.[1]  He produces life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  Joh 3:16 *

In Him (Jesus) was life, and the life was the light of men.  Joh 1:4

As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.  Joh 9:5

Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.   Joh 14:6

The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.   Joh 10:10

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved (enlivened) you, you should also love (enliven) one another. By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another.  Joh 13:34-35

Abide in Me (life,) and I (life) in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit[2] (life) of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.  Joh 15:4

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,  1 Pet 1:22 ESV

We love Him because He first loved us.  1 Joh 4:19

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.  1 Joh 4:11

What a source of joy!  Jesus said that there’s more happiness in giving than in receiving.[3]  And we have been given the awesome privilege of being his co-workers,[4] giving people life!  That’s why he, the light of the world, told us, his disciples, “you are the light of the world.”[5]  Because he is no longer in the world, we are his ambassadors.[6]

When those who are rightly disposed to everlasting life[7] see the life of Jesus in you, they come to the light, they answer God’s call.[8]  Then you have the joy-producing opportunity to share Jesus with them.[9]

So, my dear brothers and sisters, let your life shine with love, joy, and peace.[10]

[1] But whoever doesn’t love, doesn’t know God, because God is love!   1 Jn 4:8 2001

[2] But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the *firstfruits* to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.                2 Th 2:13  ESV

[3] I have shown you all things, that working in this way we ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.  Act 20:35 MKJV

[4] For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.  1 Co 3:9 ESV

[5] Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.  Mat 5:16 MKJV

[6] And pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds; so that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.  Eph 6:19-20 MKJV

[7] Now, when those who came from the nations heard this, they started rejoicing and glorifying the Word of the Lord. And *all those who were inclined to accept age-long life* became believers.  Act 13:48 2001

[8] For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all those afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call. Act 2:39 MKJV

[9] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Mat 28:19-20 ESV

[10]  But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,  Gal 5:22 MKJV
